enprobe developes fiber optic active antennas (field probes) and analog fiber optic links for the measurement of RF electric fields.

The fiber optic active antennas / field probes are used as a nearly ideal tool to probe an RF electric field without disturbing it by the probe itself or connected (metallic) coaxial cables. Therefore measurements even in the near field of radiating elements provide most accurate results.

Analog fiber optic links are used to replace conventional coaxial cables in order to avoid the field disturbance of this metallic cable. Furthermore the optical fibers provide an extraordinary stable phase response.

The RF signal is transmitted over fiber as an analog signal preserving the full spectral information (for CW signals: both amplitude and phase).
